About Aimée McAnulty

Argentine-American violist Aimée McAnulty is currently pursuing Dual Bachelor’s degrees in Music Education and Viola Performance, studying with Yizhak Schotten at the University of Michigan School of Music. Extremely passionate about chamber music, Aimée has participated in various music festivals in the past years including the Idyllwild Summer Academy, Gold Coast Chamber Music Festival, Montecito International Music Festival, Boston University Tanglewood Institute as well as performing and coaching young chamber players at the Pasadena Conservatory Chamber Music Intensive. Growing up in Southern California, Aimee was a member of the Colburn Conservatory chamber and youth orchestras, Principal of the Olympia Youth Orchestra from 2012-2015 and was a featured soloist with the orchestra on several occasions. Her music endeavors with orchestras have taken her on tour within and out of the country extensively. Aimée hopes to inspire younger generations to collaborate with their art and is a strong proponent of new music, contemporary chamber music and solo repertoire for the viola. When home in California, she enjoys the company of her family and their two dogs, Scout and Winston.
